Our Transformer Royal - the absolute burner
from wood-fired oven to grill and back again!
You can use our Transformer Royal as a wood-fired oven and as a grill. It has two doors at the front. In each door you can insert a solid bread baking vault in which you can bake fantastic breads as well as roasts, casseroles, meat dishes, chicken, fish and much more.
Of course, you can also smoke in our Transformer Royal.
In baking mode, the Transformer Royal has an 8 cm thick base on which you can bake your bread. At the same time, both the rear wall and the side walls up to the upper baking compartment are lined with fireclay. The upper baking compartment also consists of fireclay bricks on the sides and a height-adjustable fireclay vault.
Made of solid steel, the Transformer Royal has screwed hinges so that you can completely remove the lid at any time.
Even in grill mode, the base is already lined with fireclay bricks. This has the advantage that your embers are retained for longer, resulting in significantly reduced wood/charcoal consumption.
Although the Transformer Royal is very solidly made, it can be easily opened thanks to a specially calculated counterweight that shifts the centre of gravity to the rear. This means you can easily fill the fire basket at the back with wood or charcoal at any time in spit mode.
All our wood-fired ovens are of course also ideal for baking without insulation, even in winter when temperatures are below zero. Even large loaves of bread turn out effortlessly. This is impressively demonstrated every time at our training courses, which also take place at sub-zero temperatures.
One of the reasons for this is, of course, that our wood-fired ovens have the extraordinary storage mass of solid fireclay vaults.
This has the particular advantage that you can use the storage heat of the fireclay bricks with shorter preheating times and therefore less wood consumption to bake small and large quantities of pizza and tarte flambée, large roasts and casseroles, bread, cakes and much more. Or you can fire in the lower compartment and bake your pizzas, for example, in the upper compartment at the same time.
